Welcome to the web site for Captain Lane Kemper. Lane was a 30 year veteran of the Los Angeles Fire Department. He was the Task Force Commander assigned to Fire Station 17. Recently Captain Kemper was diagnosed to have Adinocarcinoma of the esophagus. After a long hard battle with the cancer he passed away Tuesday September 12th, 2006. Lane has touched every member of the LAFD as he has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for various organizations including the Widows and Orphans Fund of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Now it is our turn to care for Lane's family, wife Rose and their two 8 year old twin daughters. Thank you for your support.
